Tech N9ne
Tech N9ne
The independent underground would not be what it is today without pioneers like Strange Music cofounder Tech N9ne. Tech’s unparalleled tour schedule and signature rapid-fire “chopper” style combined with the business acumen of Strange Music CEO Travis O’Guin have molded Strange Music into the number one independent hip-hop label in the world. In less than two decades, Tech himself has earned three gold records, sold over two million albums, and made multiple appearances on Forbes’s “Hip-Hop Cash Kings” list. Tech’s multi-faceted skillset has not gone unrecognized by artists of all genres, exemplified by collaborations with such diverse artists as The Doors, Slipknot’s Corey Taylor, Eminem, and Boyz II Men, to name just a few. Everyone from Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson to Elton John has been spotted bumping Tech N9ne records, a testament to constant reinvention and inarguable excellence that has become standard of Tech’s work. It’s by no coincidence that his latest label-wide collaborative project was named Dominion – Tech N9ne will not stop until he and Strange Music have completely dominated the world of hip-hop and beyond.
Krizz Kaliko
Krizz Kaliko
It's not every day a musical genius is born. With the release of his third solo CD, SHOCK TREATMENT, KRIZZ KALIKO convincingly claims that title. After working with Tech N9ne and Strange Music for 10 years, performing over 200 shows a year, KRIZZ KALIKO has earned a spot among Hip Hop's elite. His solo debut, 2008's Vitiligo, landed at No. 19 on the Billboard charts and he has been instrumental in Tech N9ne's incredible success: In 2008, Tech N9ne SoundScanned over one million units, making him the most successful independent Hip Hop artist in history.

KRIZZ KALIKO is the sonic "glue" of Strange Music. "I'm Tech's right hand man in writing," he says. "It's a weird, beautiful chemistry. Tech and Travis [O'Guin] handle the business, and Tech and I are the creative force at Strange Music. The yin and the yang. Jimmy Jam & Terry Lewis. Tech and I have the same philosophy about the quality of music. We've been working together so long I know where he wants to go."

Born in Kansas City, MO., KRIZZ KALIKO was raised by a mom who spoon-fed him music. As an opera and gospel singer, as well as being the choir director of their church, his mother sang to him and, fortunately, made him sing with his sisters. He performed in the choir all throughout his early teens and his mom often treated the family to live concerts from artists like the Gap Band and Run-DMC. By the time KRIZZ KALIKO met Tech N9ne, he was already trying to figure out how to fuse opera and Hip Hop.

Slo Pain
Slo Pain
Troll, also known as SLO PAIN, started rapping in a jail cell in 2002.
With nothing to do but read books or write songs he developed a taste of rhymes similar to what he listened to while growing up. Troll thrives on music! Some of his most inspiring artists are Ice Cube, ICP, Tech n9ne, twisted, Sugar Free and even old school Easy E, 2pac and Brotha Lynch. When he got out of jail he went straight to a halfway house. While in the halfway house he would go to school and use the computers to look up other local rappers on Myspace and found the scene that best suits his genre. The Horror Core scene in Denver has a lot of underground talent and a huge fan base, but it was hard for Troll to adapt with such a large amount of underground rappers. Fans wouldn't listen to just anybody. That's when he started changing his style so he could gain a fan base and start making his name and record label (Slo Pain Reckordz) more known in the state of Colorado.

Troll calls his style of music Dark rap or murder music.
Dark rap is a compilation of several different styles of rap, such as Horror Core, Hip Hop, Gangster Rap and even Club rap. After a year and a half of promoting his name and his style of music he gained a fan base. As his fan base grew he booked more and more openings for shows. Troll has opened for many artists, such as Esham, Any Body Killa, Black Pegasus, Liquid Assassin Scum and more. He has also played at the Gathering Of Juggalo's 2008. Troll is known for his very hype and energetic stage performance and for the ability to get the crowd motivated to the point where the venue shacks and walls crack. He is also known to open and close the show all in one set due to draining the energy from his fans.

Troll now has 2 other artists on his record label, several different lines of merchandise, one CD produced and another CD about to drop in mid 2009 titled "HIGHWAY EIGHTY SICKS"! The new CD HIGHWAY EIGHTY SICKS is going to blow the doors off the hinges and knock any other CD off the shelf with its new flavor and fresh collabs with Colorado's sickest and biggest names in the game. Troll is currently seeking out-of-state shows that will get him promotions and more Colorado opening slots with bigger named artists.
