RIE RIE
A lyrically versatile, veteran MC on the regional scene. Rie Rie is the only female to put it down for Colorado on a consistent basis since the early 90’s. Rie Rie is the soul of music, a fresh breath of new born life, highly needed in Hip Hop. Born in Denver, CO and raised in Texas where her lyrical skills were crafted.Influenced by MC Lyte, Redman, and gospel music, Rie Rie started her indy label “MobRuled Productionz” and released “The Untold Veracities”, “Mile Hi Mixtapes Vol. 1” and “Rie Rie”. She has sold over 10,000 units by internet, consignment and out the trunk.
Due to her persistence and daily grind, Rie Rie has received radio air play and film features (Rage 187 and Color Blind by Maverick Entertainment) on the underground scene. Rie Rie has established herself as an entertainer and a business woman.
Rie Rie is Black, Indian, Spanish and French. Funk and R-B/Hip-Hop are her main influences. She has played local gigs like “Cristolbals” and “The Soiled Dove” to sold out crowds with other local MC’s and promotes her own CD release partys at major venues such as “Hollywood Legends”. She has performed with the following artists: Benzino and the Untouchables, Suga T, T-Nutty, Roger Troutman and the Zapp Band and Shirley Murdock to name a few. Her ability to write unique lyrics to any musical concept makes her someone to watch.
