Random Hero
Random Hero is a powerful local rock band in Denver established in June of 2006 as a result of the selective merging of two other local groups. Now with a killer lineup, the four chosen members, each with extensive musical backgrounds, have been diligently and feverishly working up a storm for their debut album due to be released at the end of 2007. No local band in Denver is more actively inclined, it seems, to build a fan base and perform every chance they get. After Random Hero’s first show in late January of 2007, it is no wonder that they already have a profound following with their surpassing determination and combined talent like no other displayed in the local music scene. This band is surely destined for prolonged and progressive entertainment in the music industry with their distinct and hypnotic concoction of incredibly strong vocals incorporated with powerful guitar hooks, a rock-steady rhythmic foundation and epic, bittersweet symphonic melodies.
In a perfect dream, haunting lyrics bleed into sound and in turn the melodic distortion pulls the voice through, a symbiotic chaos so variant and yet naturally complete. If one were to break down an opera, a pattern emerges and it is apparent that there is dawn, the walking day, a more tender twilight and the climatic night all to lead once again into daybreak. This audible breakdown of structure is resilient and defined in every song and not only lends a dynamic essence to be heard but invokes the visual spectrum of sound as well. As in life, in a heroic performance there is colorful beauty, cruelty, mystery and addiction- one can not simply sit passively and wait until the last chord to be reached and the last word to be sung; one is delicately hung into a cosmic bliss desperate for the next reprise. Those in observance, the audience itself, may stand involuntarily frozen in awe, or perhaps they will tangibly seek to reflect what is being musically displayed by crashing in to each other in a wild dance- that is for the observer and listener himself to decide. As with art, to see and experience a composite band live can quite possibly be the more exhiliarating encounter, and beyond recorded studio clarity, the effect of visual-audio indulgence is necessary to truly embrace what this particular group has to offer. Do not hinder for love seeks and love finds, blind and reckless, short and true.
