Come Forth By Day
Poised to drop their first full-length album like a lead pipe onto the Denver, Colorado hardcore scene, Come Forth By Day gracefully awaits the release of their self-acclaimed “Greatest Hits: Vol. 1” like a young ocelot.
“It’s definitely been a scrupulous journey to this point,” claims vocalist John Rocha, who’s powerful and positive lyrics are as refreshing as they are inspiring.
“Scrupulous” may be an understatement, considering the band, still consisting of it’s original members, jokes about the meticulous effort put into the album.
“…though it’s been more than worth it, doing what you love most with your best friends,” adds stage right guitarist, Robert Garcia, who founded the band along with co-guitarist Danny Ryley.
“We strive to make every riff, every beat, every element and dynamic as appealing to us as possible.” According to Ryley, “It’s been tough seeing 99% of the riffs we write hit the cutting room floor.”
The two, along with Rocha have developed a style of song writing that infuse the best aspects of metal, hardcore and punk rock. Their songs may be some of the thickest and heaviest in the genre, yet they are surprisingly poppy and progressive, ultimately difficult to stop listening to. The incorporation of drummer Tom Sisneros’ hard-hitting ethno beats further increase the quality and diversity of the music, and Bassist Ben Martin’s driving bass forces superb tone straight through your entire body. All the while, a reoccurring theme: Family, Friends, Loyalty – is prevalent throughout the band’s every venture.
It has paid off. Compared to their early demo releases, CFBD has matured immensely while mastering their unique style. What once was just another underground garage band has transformed into a hardcore powerhouse, ready to deliver a knock-out blow to listeners across the nation. Strap on your jock straps, this one’s gonna hurt.
