A Wilhelm Scream

A Wilhelm Scream is from New Bedford, Massachusetts. The band formed in 1996, and previously went by the names Koen (1996) and Smackin’ Isaiah (1997-2003). Their current name is a reference to a famous stock sound effect used in films. They are signed to Nitro and have released four full-length albums. The current lineup consists of Nuno Pereira (vocals), Trevor Reilly (guitar, vocals), Brian J. Robinson (bass, vocals), Mike Supina (guitar), and Nicholas Pasquale Angelini (drums).

The band gained a significant amount of recognition following the release of Ruiner in 2005. The album was produced by Bill Stevenson (drummer of Descendents and Black Flag) and Jason Livermore.

A Wilhelm Scream’s fifth album, entitled Career Suicide, was released on 10/9/07. It also was produced by Stevenson.

Christopher Levesque (guitar), who had been with the band since 2001, left the band in September 2007, two weeks prior to the release of Career Suicide. His duties on the next few tours were filled by Alucard’s Mike Supina (Fall 2007) and The Swellers frontman Nick Diener (December 2007).

In January 2008, the band announced via a MySpace bulletin that Supina would become a permanent member.
